Foam Head Member
This 12″ wide foam filled wood backed head member is standard on Perma Dock Seals for doors less than 9’0″ high. It delivers three sided foam protection that provides the most effective seal at the loading dock door.
Extra wide head members, 18″ to 30″, are available to allow varied truck height coverage. Chain-weighed drop flaps sewn to the foam head pad service an occasional lower truck and can be held out of the way with velcro fasteners.
Standard Rigid Shelter
Perma Tech’s Rigid Dock Shelter is designed to service a variety of truck sizes and types, regardless of dock door size. As the truck backs into the shelter, the face curtains wrap around the truck sides, therefore ensuring positive weather protection, yet allowing for full truck opening accessibility and accommodating both 8’0″ and 8’6″ wide trailers.
A rigid framework combined with a wide range of curtain fabrics make Perma’s Rigid Shelter suitable for even the heaviest traffic application. Fiberglass stays sewn into the face and the curtains hold snug against the truck while the foam filled bottom cushions prevent bottom draft.
Perma Tech sews extra heavy duty wear areas at all the critical truck contact points and uses only pressure treated lumber to give you a unit that’s built to last. Steel frames are optional. Face curtains on Prema’s Rigid Dock Shelter wrap around the back of a trailer, due to reduced energy loss and positive weather protection.

ROLLING COUNTER DOOR
Commonly utilized in cafeterias, concession stands and ticket booths, our Rolling Counter Doors provide accessibility and security in interior and exterior finished wall openings. These doors are manufactured with smaller, more aesthetically pleasing components – such as the guides, slats, brackets and hood – than traditional rolling doors. They require minimal headroom and, as a result, they can be custom-fit into a wide variety of openings.

They are used to provide security against entry or weather protection at exterior and interior openings in industrial, commercial, institutional and other buildings. They are also called overhead coiling doors or service doors.
THERMISER® INSULATED ROLLING DOOR
Thermiser Insulated Rolling Doors, designed for exterior use, help maintain different temperatures on each side of the door. They are an ideal choice for use in environments that require climate control, security and durability, such as distribution, industrial, hospitality, retail and more.
Thermiser doors store compactly, require little to no maintenance and deliver a low life cycle cost. In fact, we warranty this product for 50,000 cycles as standard.
Foamed in place insulation offers superior protection against the elements, improved security and reduced sound transmission. The Thermiser helps seal the building envelope and keeps noise in – or out.
Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating is up to 30 for the curtain and up to 18 for the entire assembly. If an STC of 32 is desired, additional options are required. Please consult the factory for details. All configurations are evaluated per ASTM E90, based on testing a complete, operable assembly.

Speed-Guardian™ 5000 LS Low Speed Series
The Speed-Guardian™ 5000 LS low speed series of high performance rigid panel doors matches the looks of the high speed, Speed-Guardian™ 5000 models, but is priced considerably lower. The 5000 LS has all of the same aesthetics as the Speed-Guardian™ 5000 high speed models, such as 1-5/8″ insulated panel and double-pane windows with Duratec® protective coating, but is less expensive and has operating speeds of 8″ per second, allowing building owners to realize a savings for door openings where low cycles will exist; where they want to have the look of the high speed Speed-Guardian™, but don’t need the high speed operation.
The standard lift model 5000 LS uses a trolley motor with 15,000 springs for operation. High cycle springs up to 100,000 cycles are available for higher use applications. A jackshaft motor is used with the optional high lift and vertical lift track configurations.
Speed-Commander™ Series
Interior Door Openings
The Speed-Commander™ 1400 SEL comes in a sectional panel design. The panels are connected using aluminum profiles and have specially designed edges that allow the panels to slide easily into the horizontal aluminum profiles for fast replacement.
Standard on the Speed-Commander™ 1400 SEL is a light grid built into the guide tracks up to 8’0″ high. Completely free of coil cords, the light grid provides a thorough wall of protection for personnel and equipment at the doorway, as compared to other doors that use only photocells. Full perimeter draft seals provide dust and odor containment, as well as general environmental control.
The Speed-Commander™ 1400 SEL comes with the next generation, Smart Start™ NXT NEMA 4X control box, which accepts 208 v to 575 v / 3-phase / 60 Hz input voltage. The updated control box has a simplified wiring configuration, is more powerful, and has fewer components and cables as compared to the original Smart Start™. Single-phase control box is optional and has our Smart Start™ NXT wiring but with a NEMA 3 rated control box (1-phase, 230 v only).
Clean-Master 20 Pa for Clean Rooms
The Speed-Commander™ 1400 SEL Clean-Master 20 Pa tightly seals door openings in clean room applications to prevent air movement, and the fast opening speed of up to 80″ per second greatly increases protection from contamination between two areas. Low-profile steel guide tracks are free of moving parts, promoting a pure environment. Stainless steel guide tracks are available for customers that demand the ultimate in clean.
Standard on the Clean-Master 20 Pa is a light grid built into the guide tracks up to 8’0″ high. Completely free of coil cords, the light grid provides a thorough wall of protection for personnel and equipment in the doorway, as compared to other doors that use only photocells. The light grid also eliminates the need for a panel reversing edge, which is typically vulnerable to damage, resulting in a reduction in maintenance and downtime. The absence of a coil cord eliminates a possible source of contaminants.
A special UPS emergency battery pack is an option that provides peace-of-mind in case of a power failure. If power is lost to the door, the UPS emergency battery pack automatically opens the door once to allow personnel to quickly exit the area. This low maintenance design is free of springs, counterbalance systems and other high maintenance parts that are typically required for emergency opening. When the battery is low, an alarm sounds to signal time for a replacement. Replacing the battery is a simple process that takes just a few minutes. This option is only available with doors equipped with our 230 v / 1-phase control box.

Food-Master for Food Processing
The Food-Master design allows you to select only the stainless steel options your application requires. Able to conform with all industry requirements, the following components are available in stainless steel, making it possible to conveniently build a Food-Master door without paying for unnecessary stainless options: Roll tube / shaft, door / motor cover, guide tracks and all hardware.

Completely free of coil cords, the light grid provides a thorough wall of protection for personnel and equipment in the doorway, as compared to other doors that use only photocells. The light grid also eliminates the need for a panel reversing edge, which is typically vulnerable to damage, resulting in a reduction in maintenance and downtime. Amazingly, the light grid remains an effective protection device even following wash-down.
Two effective panel materials are available on the Food-Master. The standard is a 40 oz. / sq. yard white nylon-reinforced, puncture resistant PVC, perfect for basic applications. An optional 90 oz. / sq. yard 100 percent FDA approved white polyurethane panel material is available when optimum compliance is needed. A vision area is unavailable with the 90 oz. material to maintain FDA acceptance. With either material, the panel maintains stability via spring steel stiffeners located in completely sealed panel pockets.
VEHICLE RESTRAINTS
Blue Giant vehicle restraints are simply designed, easy to use, and can apply up to 35,000 lb (15,875 kg) of restraining force to keep a truck or trailer stationed at the dock. They safeguard against unscheduled departures, trailer creep, and trailer walk, and require minimal maintenance.
Blue Giant vehicle restraints service a wide range of carriers, including those with bent or damaged ICC bars, and may be interlocked with dock levelers for enhanced performance. Hydraulic, electric, and mechanical models are available to accommodate site and sustainability requirements.
All vehicle restraints come standard with Blue Genius™ touch controls and an interior and exterior LED lights communication system.
